Where did February go?

I spent most of February sick with COVID-19 + migraines and am doing a lot better, but I really didn’t get much writing done, nor was I able to promote Match with The Demon like I wanted to (which is now available in KU!!!!). I’m trying not to be too hard on myself since I couldn’t help it, but of course, there’s always going to be some guilt for falling behind. I’ve done a lot of something this month, though, that I normally don’t have the attention span for—watch a bunch of TV and movies!

I fell deep into The Untamed Chinese drama and currently have a “NO Wei Ying and Lan Zhan until the newsletter is written” note on my white board, revisited some Appalachian memories with the quirky antiquers of Swap Shop season 2 (one of them is my university writing mentor who made me interested in paranormal stories), became smitten with the disastrous kinky couple of the Korean movie Love and Leashes, and watched a lot of different sci-fi movies and mini-series.

Consuming good/interesting media helps get my brain juices flowing, so I have some daring ideas I’m going to pursue as I gradually ease back into writing.

Bookish Housekeeping Notes!

Currently, I am making the move from Gumroad to another platform, but I haven’t had the energy to transition everything yet. A lot of stuff happened in February that prompted me to switch up where I currently host some things, but again, I’ve been sick, so things are kind of messy. My main March goal is to get a new platform for indie distribution and finish updating my website with everything I want to do for it.

My sincere apologies for the chaos! I’ll get it organized soon and let you know where you can grab all my freebies.
