It’s fckn hot outside
My summer of healing (a.k.a. prioritizing my physical and mental health) has come with unexpected side effects—I can’t tolerate the heat anymore, and I can’t start my day with a cup of light roast coffee. I usually love reading outside in the afternoons during the summer, but I have been perched in front of my fan this year.
There’s no real point to this story except that I want to whine about being too hot. And that I miss caffeine.
Other than that, things are progressing positively. My mind is too mushy for writing still, and it feels weird that it’s been nearly four months since I last worked on a story. I miss it, even to the point that I had a dream last night where I invented a new way of writing. (When I woke up, I realized it was just daydreaming and then writing down the daydreams a.k.a. my usual method of writing. 😂)
Maybe when fall rolls around, I’ll get back in the saddle. No promises. The most important part of this healing process is actual rest.
